Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product or property.

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves during installation.
  • Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound and capable of supporting the mailbox's weight, especially when full of mail.
  • Keep small parts, such as keys, out of reach of children to prevent choking hazards.
  • Exercise caution when handling the mailbox during installation to avoid pinching fingers or dropping the unit.
  • Do not attempt to modify the mailbox or its locking mechanism, as this may compromise its security and void the warranty.

Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

  • 1 x Qualarc Allux 200 Mailbox (Black)
  • 1 x Locking Mechanism (pre-installed)
  • 1 x Set of Keys (typically 2 keys)

Note: Mounting hardware is not included with this product. You will need to supply appropriate screws and anchors for your specific mounting surface. For masonry walls, use masonry mounting screws with masonry anchors (at least 1-1/2" long).

Setup and Installation

The Qualarc Allux 200 Mailbox can be mounted to a wall or a post. Choose a location that is easily accessible for mail delivery and retrieval, and compliant with local postal regulations.

Recommended Tools (Not Included):

  • Drill
  • Drill bits appropriate for your mounting surface (wood, masonry, etc.)
  • Screwdriver
  • Level
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Appropriate mounting screws and anchors

Installation Steps:

  1. Select Location: Choose a suitable location on your wall or post. Ensure there is enough clearance for the top lid to open fully and for mail retrieval from the front.
  2. Mark Mounting Points: Hold the mailbox in the desired position and use a pencil to mark the locations for the mounting holes on the wall or post. Use a level to ensure the mailbox will be straight.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Using the appropriate drill bit for your mounting surface and screws, drill pilot holes at the marked locations. For masonry, ensure holes are deep enough for anchors.
  4. Install Anchors (if needed): If mounting to masonry or drywall, insert appropriate wall anchors into the drilled holes.
  5. Mount Mailbox: Align the mailbox with the pilot holes/anchors. Insert and tighten the mounting screws through the mailbox's pre-drilled holes into the wall or post until secure. Do not overtighten.
  6. Test Stability: Gently tug on the installed mailbox to ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble.

  • Turn the key to unlock the door.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your Qualarc Allux 200 Mailbox.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the powder coat finish.
  • Lock Care: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based spray to the lock mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the mailbox for any signs of wear, damage, or loose mounting screws. Tighten any loose screws promptly.
