Setup
Assembly
The Lasko 2519 Tower Fan is designed for simple, no-tools assembly. Follow these steps:
- Carefully remove the fan and all components from the packaging.
- Attach the base to the bottom of the fan unit. Ensure it clicks securely into place or is fastened with the provided screws if applicable (refer to the specific instructions in your product box).
- Place the fan on a firm, level surface.
Placement
Position the fan in a location where it can provide optimal airflow without obstruction. Ensure it is placed on a stable, flat surface to prevent tipping. Keep the fan away from curtains or other objects that could block the air intake or exhaust.
Operating Instructions
The Lasko 2519 Tower Fan can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.
Control Panel Functions:
- Power Button (U): Press to turn the fan ON or OFF.
- Speed Button (F): Press repeatedly to cycle through the 3 fan speeds: Low, Medium, High.
- Oscillation Button (O): Press to turn the oscillation function ON or OFF. The fan will rotate from side to side to distribute air over a wider area.
- Timer Button (L): Press repeatedly to set the auto-off timer. Each press adds 1 hour to the timer, up to a maximum of 7 hours. The fan will automatically turn off after the selected time has elapsed.
Remote Control:
The remote control duplicates all functions of the control panel for convenient operation from a distance. Ensure the remote has working batteries (not included) and point it towards the fan's receiver.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the fan's performance and extends its lifespan.
- Always unplug the fan from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, or other harsh cleaners, as they may damage the fan's finish.
- Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust from the air intake and exhaust grilles.
