Introduction
This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your VTech CS6114 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your new phone to ensure proper functionality and to take full advantage of its features.

Setup
1. Connecting the Base Unit
- Plug the small end of the power adapter into the power jack on the back of the telephone base.
- Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
- Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the telephone jack on the back of the telephone base.
- Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
2. Installing the Handset Battery
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
- Connect the battery pack plug securely into the jack inside the battery compartment.
- Place the battery pack with the label UP and tuck the wires neatly inside the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
- Place the handset in the telephone base to charge. The battery icon will animate to indicate charging. Allow at least 16 hours for the battery to fully charge before initial use.

Operating Instructions
Making a Call
- Press TALK or any dialing key to get a dial tone.
- Enter the phone number.
- Press OFF or place the handset in the telephone base to end the call.
Answering a Call
- When the phone rings, press TALK or any dialing key.
- Press OFF or place the handset in the telephone base to end the call.
Caller ID
The phone displays the caller's name and number (if available) before you answer the call. The handset stores up to 30 caller ID entries.

Phonebook Directory
The phonebook can store up to 30 names and numbers. You can easily add, edit, or delete entries.

Handset Paging
If you misplace the handset, press the FIND HANDSET button on the telephone base. The handset will ring for a short period, allowing you to locate it.

Volume Control
Adjust the earpiece volume during a call using the VOL- and VOL+ buttons on the handset.

Maintenance
- Clean the phone with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or harsh chemicals.
- Avoid placing the phone in direct sunlight or in areas with extreme temperatures.
- Keep the phone away from moisture and water.
Troubleshooting
No Dial Tone
- Ensure the telephone line cord is securely plugged into both the telephone base and the wall jack.
- Check if the power adapter is properly connected to the base unit and a working electrical outlet.
Handset Not Charging
- Make sure the handset is placed correctly in the telephone base.
- Verify that the battery pack is properly connected inside the handset's battery compartment.
- Clean the charging contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cloth.
Poor Sound Quality
- Move the handset closer to the telephone base.
- Avoid using the phone near other electrical appliances or metal objects that may cause interference.
- Ensure the telephone line cord is not tangled or damaged.
