3. Package Contents

Upon unpacking, please ensure all the following items are present:

  • Radio Control Transmitter (Remote Control)
  • 9.6V Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Pack (for vehicle)
  • Quick Charger (for 9.6V Ni-MH battery pack)
  • 9V Battery (for transmitter)

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Vehicle Battery

  1. Connect the 9.6V Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack to the quick charger.
  2. Plug the quick charger into a standard wall outlet.
  3. Allow approximately 2 hours for a full charge. Do not overcharge.
  4. Once charged, disconnect the battery pack from the charger and the charger from the outlet.

4.2 Installing Vehicle Battery

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Nikko Road Burner vehicle.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Carefully insert the charged 9.6V Ni-MH battery pack, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.3 Installing Transmitter Battery

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio control transmitter.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the 9V battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.4 Frequency Crystal Selection (for multi-player racing)

If racing with multiple players, ensure each vehicle and its corresponding transmitter use a different frequency crystal band (1-6) to avoid interference. Refer to the vehicle and transmitter for crystal slot locations and installation instructions.

4.5 Steering Handedness Adjustment

The transmitter features interchangeable steering for left or right-handed operation. Consult the transmitter's specific instructions for how to adjust the steering wheel position if needed.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On

  1. Turn on the power switch on the Nikko Road Burner vehicle.
  2. Turn on the power switch on the radio control transmitter.
  3. The vehicle and transmitter should now be linked.

5.2 Driving Controls

  • Forward/Backward: Use the trigger on the transmitter. Pull the trigger to move forward, push it away to reverse.
  • Left/Right Steering: Use the steering wheel on the transmitter to turn the vehicle left or right.
  • Digital Proportional Control: The vehicle's speed and steering angle are proportional to how much you pull the trigger or turn the wheel, allowing for fine control.

5.4 Powering Off

  2. Turn off the power switch on the radio control transmitter.
  3. For long-term storage, remove batteries from both the vehicle and transmitter.
