  • Lens: Use a lens brush or a blower to remove dust. For smudges, use a soft lens cleaning cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces. Do not touch the lens with your fingers.
  • LCD Monitor: Gently wipe the LCD with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid pressing hard on the screen.

  • Always use the genuine Fujifilm battery and charger.
  • Remove the battery from the camera when not in use for extended periods.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place.

5.3. Storage

When storing the camera for a long time, remove the battery and memory card. Store the camera in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity. Consider using a desiccant to prevent mold and mildew.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Camera does not turn on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
  • Pictures are blurry: Check if the lens is clean. Ensure the camera is stable during shooting (use image stabilization or a tripod if necessary). Verify that the focus mode is appropriate for your subject.
  • Flash does not fire: Check flash settings; it might be set to 'Suppressed Flash'. Ensure the flash unit is popped up if required.
  • Memory card error: Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly and is not full. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data). If the issue persists, try a different memory card.
  • No sound in recorded videos: Check the microphone settings in the movie menu. Ensure the microphone is not obstructed.
