Setup

1. Voltage Selection

The Dritz Mighty Travel Steam Iron features dual voltage capability (100-127V and 220-240V), making it suitable for international travel. Before plugging in the iron, ensure the voltage selector switch on the back of the iron is set to the correct voltage for your region.

2. Filling the Water Tank (for Steam Ironing)

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged and cool.
  2. Open the water inlet cover located on the top of the iron.
  3. Using the provided measuring cup, carefully pour water into the reservoir. Do not overfill; observe the MAX fill line.
  4. Close the water inlet cover securely.

3. Connecting to Power

Plug the iron into an appropriate electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the iron is heating up.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting the Temperature

Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. The iron heats quickly, reaching temperatures between 140°F and 428°F. The indicator light will turn off once the set temperature is reached.

2. Using the Steam Function

Once the iron has reached the desired temperature (indicator light off), press the steam button to release steam. For continuous steam, ensure the steam setting is engaged on the dial. For a burst of steam, press the steam button repeatedly.

Maintenance

1. Emptying the Water Tank

After each use, ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Open the water inlet cover and carefully empty any remaining water from the reservoir. This prevents mineral buildup and extends the life of your iron.

2. Cleaning the Soleplate

To clean the non-stick soleplate, wipe it with a damp cloth after the iron has cooled down. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.

3. Storage

Allow the iron to cool completely before storing. Wrap the power cord neatly around the handle and place the iron in the provided storage bag to protect it from dust and scratches.
