1. Overview

The Casio FT500WC Series analog watch is designed for durability and functionality, featuring a rugged construction and essential timekeeping capabilities. 2. Setup

2.1 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) out to the second click position. The second hand will stop.
  2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Ensure the AM/PM setting is correct if your watch features a 24-hour indicator or if setting the date.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position. The second hand will resume movement.

2.2 Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click position.
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the date.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position.

Note: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.

2.3 Battery Information

The watch is powered by two product-specific batteries, which are included. The typical battery life is approximately 3 years. When the watch stops or the LED light becomes dim, it is time to replace the batteries. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.

3. Operating the Watch

3.1 Using the LED Light

To illuminate the watch face in dark conditions, press the light button located on the side of the watch case. The LED light will activate for a few seconds, providing visibility to the dial.

3.2 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and showering. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate the crown or buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water intrusion.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning Your Watch

Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth regularly to remove dirt and moisture. For the nylon/Velcro band, gentle hand washing with mild soap and water is permissible, followed by thorough air drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. This helps preserve battery life and the integrity of the watch materials.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Not Running

  • Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
  • If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.

5.2 Incorrect Time or Date

  • Refer to sections 2.1 and 2.2 to reset the time and date.

5.3 LED Light Not Working

  • The battery may be low and require replacement.
