Important Safety Information
WARNING: To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is used in the use of pond equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs yourself; return the appliance to an authorized service facility for service or discard the appliance.
- If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source.
- Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet.
- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position the pond or water feature to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. A "drip loop" should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting a pond appliance to a receptacle. The "drip loop" is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water from traveling along the cord and coming into contact with the receptacle.
- Always unplug the appliance from an outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet.
- Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
- Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to temperatures below freezing.
- Ensure the appliance is securely installed before operating it.
- Read and observe all important notices on the appliance.

Operating the Pump
Initial Start-up
Once the pump is fully submerged and all tubing connections are secure, plug the pump into a grounded electrical outlet. The pump should begin operating immediately, circulating water to create your desired waterfall effect.
Flow Rate
The TotalPond 2000 GPH Waterfall Pump is designed to move large amounts of water. Its maximum pumping height is 17 feet at 0 GPH. For optimal waterfall performance, it is ideal for cascading waters up to 10 feet in height, where it can achieve approximately 1215 GPH.

Cleaning the Pump
Periodically remove the pump from the water and disconnect it from the power source. Disassemble the pump housing to access the impeller and internal components. Clean any accumulated debris from the impeller and pump chamber. The internal design allows larger debris to flow out of the discharge and finer particles to flow out of the rear, ensuring continuous cleaning of shafts and bearings.
