2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, ensure all parts are clean and dry. The mixer grinder is compatible with 110-120V power outlets, suitable for use in the US & Canada.

4.1 Fixing the Blade

1. Hold the coupler at the bottom of the jar tightly with your fingers.
2. Turn the jar straight.
3. Place the correct blade onto the spindle inside the jar.
4. To tighten the blade, use the spanner (stirrer) and turn it anti-clockwise until secure.
5. Ensure you use the correct blade for the required operation (e.g., multi-purpose grinding blade for wet and dry grinding).

4.2 Seating the Jar

1. Place the jar assembly onto the motor unit's top cap.
2. Ensure the jar base locks into the grooves of the top cap by turning the jar clockwise.
3. Do not operate the mixer grinder unless the jar is properly locked onto the base.

4.3 Dome Seating

1. Place the dome (lid) onto the jar.
2. Press down firmly until the rubber beading seats inside the jar. This ensures proper sealing and prevents leaking during operation.

5. Operating Instructions

The Preethi Eco Plus Mixer Grinder features a rotary switch with 3 speeds and a pulse function for precise control.

5.1 Wet Grinding (e.g., Idli/Dosa Batter)

1. Use the 1.5 Liter jar with the multi-purpose blade.
2. Soak rice and dal separately for 7-8 hours, then drain the water.
3. Add a maximum of 350 grams of soaked rice (slightly less than half the jar) into the jar.
4. Add about 200 ml (one tumbler) of water.
5. Pulse 3-4 times, then run on speed 3 for about 60 seconds until a thick paste forms.
6. For dal, add a maximum of 150 grams of soaked dal (up to the blade level).
7. Add about 100 ml (half a tumbler) of water.
8. Pulse 3-4 times, then run on speed 3 for about 15 seconds until a fine paste forms.
9. Stop and stir if needed, then continue grinding.
10. Important: Do not exceed specified quantities. To grind more, process in batches. The quantity of water and grinding time may vary based on the quality of ingredients and soaking time. Add enough water to ensure free circulation of ingredients.

5.2 Dry Grinding (e.g., Spices, Coffee Beans)

1. For small quantities, use the 0.4 Liter Chutney Jar. For larger quantities, use the 1.0 Liter or 1.5 Liter jars.
2. Ensure the jar and blade are thoroughly dry before use.
3. Add the dry ingredients into the jar.
4. Pulse 5-10 times, then run on speed 3 for 30 seconds.
5. If a finer powder is desired, continue grinding on speed 3 for another 30 seconds.

5.3 Pulse Function

The pulse function is ideal for quick bursts of power, perfect for chutney grinding, dry grinding, or when you need to break down ingredients before continuous grinding.

• To use the pulse function, simply turn the rotary switch anti-clockwise to the 'PULSE' position and release.
• Repeat this operation several times until the desired consistency is achieved.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your mixer grinder.

1. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
2. Clean the motor unit body and top cap with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
3. For stainless steel jars and blades: Fill the jar with approximately 0.5 liters of lukewarm water and add a mild detergent.
4. Run the mixer grinder on speed 1 for 30 seconds.
5. Rinse the jar and blade thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry.
6. Always store the jar in an inverted position to allow any residual water to drain completely.
7. The jars are not dishwasher safe.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Motor Stops During Operation (Overload Protection)

The Preethi Eco Plus Mixer Grinder is equipped with an auto overload protector. If the motor is overloaded, it will automatically stop to prevent damage.

1. Switch off the mixer grinder immediately.
2. Remove some material from the jar to reduce the load.
3. Wait for approximately 3 minutes to allow the motor to cool down.
4. Lift the motor unit slightly and press the red reset button located at the bottom of the appliance.
5. You can then restart the mixer grinder.

7.2 Jar is Difficult to Remove

Do not attempt to remove the jar if the mixer grinder is still running. This can lead to damage to the coupler.

• Ensure the mixer grinder is switched off and unplugged.
• Hold the jar handle for leverage and gently push up the dome (lid).
• To remove the jar from the body, turn it anti-clockwise and lift it off the top cap.
