3. Setup Instructions

The StarBlast 6 reflector base arrives pre-assembled for a hassle-free setup. Follow these steps to prepare your telescope for observation:

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
2. Attaching the Optical Tube: Securely attach the optical tube to the pre-assembled Dobsonian base using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure all fasteners are tightened to prevent movement during observation.
3. Installing the EZ Finder II: Mount the EZ Finder II aiming device onto its designated bracket on the optical tube. Ensure it is oriented correctly for comfortable viewing.
4. Inserting an Eyepiece: Insert either the 25mm or 10mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece into the focuser. The 25mm eyepiece provides a wider field of view, suitable for initial object location, while the 10mm offers higher magnification for detailed views.

2. Aiming with EZ Finder II: Turn on the EZ Finder II. Look through the EZ Finder II and align the red dot with your desired celestial object. The EZ Finder II provides a non-magnified, wide-field view to help you quickly locate objects.
3. Viewing through the Eyepiece: Once the object is centered in the EZ Finder II, look through the telescope's eyepiece. Use the focuser knobs to achieve a sharp image.
4. Changing Magnification: To change magnification, swap eyepieces. The 10mm eyepiece will provide a more magnified view than the 25mm eyepiece.
5. Tracking Objects: The Dobsonian mount allows for smooth manual tracking of celestial objects as they move across the sky due to Earth's rotation. Gently push or pull the optical tube to keep the object in view.
