Model: 48325072
Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Taylor Mechanical Bath Scale. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the scale to ensure accurate measurements and long-lasting performance.

Figure 1: Taylor Mechanical Bath Scale. This image shows the top view of the scale, highlighting its large, easy-to-read speedometer dial and the black contemporary mat on the silver platform. The dial indicates a capacity of 300 lbs.
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface. Avoid carpets, rugs, or uneven flooring, as this can affect accuracy.
- Zero Adjustment: Before first use, and periodically thereafter, ensure the scale is set to zero. If the needle is not pointing directly to zero, locate the small adjustment wheel (typically found near the dial or on the side of the scale) and turn it until the needle rests precisely on the zero mark.
Operating Instructions
- Step On: Gently step onto the center of the scale platform with bare feet. Stand still and distribute your weight evenly.
- Read Measurement: Wait for the needle to stabilize. Read the weight indicated by the needle on the large speedometer dial.
- Step Off: Carefully step off the scale. The needle should return to zero. If it does not, re-adjust the zero wheel.
For consistent readings, always use the scale at the same time of day, preferably in the morning before eating or drinking.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
- Storage: Store the scale in a dry place at room temperature. Avoid extreme temperatures or high humidity.
- Calibration Check: Periodically check the zero point and adjust if necessary to maintain accuracy.
