1. Important Safety Instructions

- Do not use this heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations where water may be present.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use.

- Do not run power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
2. Product Overview
The DeLonghi DCH5090ER is a 1500W digital ceramic heater designed for efficient room heating. It features a remote control and an Eco Energy Setting for optimized performance.

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain the packaging for off-season storage. Check for any signs of damage during transit. If the heater appears damaged, do not use it and contact customer service.
3.2 Placement
Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater to allow for proper air circulation and to prevent fire hazards. Do not place the heater directly under a power outlet. This heater is designed for floor mount use in rooms such as bedrooms, home offices, or study rooms.
3.3 Power Connection
Plug the heater directly into a 120V, 60Hz wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips, as these can overheat and cause a fire risk. Ensure the outlet is rated for 12.5 Amps or higher.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel
The control panel is located on the top of the heater. It features a digital display and several buttons for operation.
- Power Button (U): Press to turn the heater ON or OFF.
- Mode Button: Press to cycle through heating modes (e.g., High Heat, Low Heat, Eco).
- Temperature Adjustment (+/-): Use these buttons to increase or decrease the desired room temperature. The display will show the set temperature.
- Timer Button: Press to set the operating time (e.g., 1-24 hours). The heater will automatically turn off after the set time.
- ECO Button: Activates the Eco Energy Setting, which automatically adjusts heat output to maintain the set temperature with minimal energy consumption.
4.2 Remote Control
The remote control duplicates the functions of the main control panel, allowing convenient operation from a distance. Ensure the remote has working batteries (typically 2x AAA, not included) and is pointed towards the heater's receiver.
- Power Button: Turns the heater ON/OFF.
- Mode Button: Selects heating modes.
- Temp +/- Buttons: Adjusts the desired temperature.
- Set Time Button: Activates and adjusts the timer function.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Always unplug the heater from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodically vacuum the air intake and output grilles to remove dust and lint buildup.
- Never immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the motor housing.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the heater in its original packaging in a cool, dry place. Wrap the power cord loosely to prevent damage.
6. Troubleshooting
If your heater is not operating correctly, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:
