Maintenance
Water Resistance
The Timex Expedition Atlantis watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This rating makes it suitable for swimming and snorkeling. It is not recommended for scuba diving.
- Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
- Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement.
- Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Cleaning
To clean your watch, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Troubleshooting
Time Resets Automatically
If the watch time resets automatically without apparent reason, this may indicate a low battery. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
Buttons Are Stiff or Hard to Press
The buttons on this watch are designed to be firm to prevent accidental activation. If they become excessively stiff or unresponsive, ensure no debris is lodged around them. Avoid forcing the buttons.
Display is Dim or Blank
A dim or blank display typically indicates a low or depleted battery. Replace the battery.
