1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Rollei Compactline 360 TS digital camera. 2. Safety Information

  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified Lithium-ion battery. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, direct sunlight, or fire. Do not short-circuit or disassemble batteries. Keep batteries out of reach of children.
  • Water Resistance: This camera is not waterproof. Avoid exposing it to water, rain, or high humidity.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the camera or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to repair the camera yourself; refer to qualified service personnel.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Operating Temperature: Operate the camera within recommended temperature ranges to prevent damage.

4.1 Front Panel

  • Lens: 4x Optical Zoom Lens (28-112mm equivalent focal length, f/2.8 aperture).
  • Flash: Built-in flash for low-light conditions.
  • Self-Timer Lamp/AF Assist Lamp: Indicates self-timer countdown and assists autofocus in dim light.

4.2 Rear Panel

  • 3-inch LCD Touchscreen: For viewing images, videos, and navigating menus.
  • Playback Button: Enters playback mode to review photos and videos.

4.3 Top Panel

  • Power Button: Turns the camera on or off.
  • Shutter Button: Press halfway to focus, fully to take a picture.

4.4 Bottom Panel

  • Battery/Memory Card Compartment: Houses the Lithium-ion battery and memory card.
  • Tripod Mount: For attaching the camera to a tripod.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the Lithium-ion battery, ensuring correct orientation.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Connect the camera to a power source using the supplied USB cable and power adapter. The charging indicator will illuminate.
  5. Once charging is complete, the indicator will change or turn off. Disconnect the camera.

5.2 Inserting a Memory Card

The camera supports standard SD memory cards (not included). Ensure the camera is off before inserting or removing a memory card.

  1. Open the battery/memory card compartment cover.
  2. Insert the memory card into the designated slot with the contacts facing the correct direction (usually towards the front of the camera). Push until it clicks into place.
  3. Close the compartment cover.

5.3 Initial Power On and Language Setting

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the camera.
  2. The first time you power on, you may be prompted to set the language, date, and time. Follow the on-screen instructions using the touchscreen or control buttons.

6. Operating the Camera

6.1 Taking Photos

  1. Turn on the camera by pressing the Power button.
  2. Frame your shot using the 3-inch LCD touchscreen.
  3. Use the zoom controls (if available on the camera body or via touchscreen) to adjust the 4x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom.
  4. Press the Shutter button halfway down to allow the camera to autofocus. The focus frame will turn green when focus is achieved.
  5. Press the Shutter button fully down to capture the image.

6.2 Recording Videos

The Rollei Compactline 360 TS supports video capture, but please note that it records without sound.

  1. Switch the camera to video recording mode (refer to the on-screen icons or menu for this option).
  2. Press the Shutter button to start recording.
  3. Press the Shutter button again to stop recording.

6.3 Playback Mode

  1. Press the Playback button (usually indicated by a triangle icon) to enter playback mode.
  2. Use the directional controls or swipe on the touchscreen to browse through your photos and videos.
  3. To exit playback mode, press the Playback button again or the Shutter button to return to shooting mode.

6.4 Menu Settings

Access the camera's menu to adjust various settings such as:

  • Image Resolution (up to 12 Megapixels)
  • Flash Mode

  • Exposure Compensation (Automatic exposure control)

6.5 Connecting to a Computer (PictBridge)

The camera supports PictBridge technology for direct printing and can connect to computers, external storage devices, phones, and tablets via USB for file transfer.

  1. Ensure the camera is off.
  2. Connect the camera to your computer or PictBridge-compatible printer using the supplied USB cable.
  3. Turn on the camera. It should be recognized as a removable storage device or offer PictBridge options.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts on your computer or printer to transfer or print images.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Camera Body: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water, then wipe dry.
  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a lens brush to remove dust, then gently wipe with a specialized lens cleaning cloth. Do not touch the lens surface with your fingers.
  • Cleaning the LCD Screen: Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid pressing too hard on the screen.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery and store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting
