4. Setup & Installation

4.1. Tools Required (Not Included)

• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Flat Head Screwdriver
• Wire Strippers
• Electrical Tape
• Safety Glasses
• Ladder (if necessary)

4.2. Pre-Installation

1. Turn off power: Before starting installation, ensure the power to the circuit is turned off at the main fuse box or circuit breaker.
2. Prepare the area: Clear the work area and ensure you have adequate lighting.
3. Unpack contents: Carefully remove all components from the packaging and inspect them for any damage.

4.3. Mounting the Fixture

1. Attach mounting bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the electrical junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached.
2. Identify wires: From the junction box, identify the following wires:
   • Black (Hot)
   • White (Neutral)
   • Green or Bare Copper (Ground)
   From the fixture, identify the corresponding wires.
3. Make electrical connections:
   • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (or to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket) using a wire nut.
   Ensure all connections are secure and covered with wire nuts. Wrap electrical tape around wire nuts for added security if desired.
4. Tuck wires: Carefully tuck all connected wires into the junction box.
5. Attach fixture base: Align the holes in the fixture base with the screws on the mounting bracket. Secure the fixture base to the mounting bracket using the decorative nuts or screws provided.
6. Install bulbs: Screw the appropriate type and wattage of bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Refer to the fixture's label for maximum wattage.
7. Attach glass dome: Carefully place the glass dome onto the fixture base. Secure it by screwing the finial onto the threaded rod extending from the center of the fixture. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the fixture is securely installed and bulbs are in place, restore power at the main fuse box or circuit breaker. The light fixture can then be operated using the standard wall switch connected to the circuit.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

• Always turn off power to the fixture and allow it to cool before cleaning.
• Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.

6.2. Bulb Replacement

• Turn off power to the fixture at the circuit breaker.
• Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching them.
• Unscrew the finial and carefully remove the glass dome.
• Unscrew the old bulbs and replace them with new bulbs of the same type and wattage (or lower). Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified on the fixture.
• Reattach the glass dome and secure it with the finial.
• Restore power.
