Setup
1. Install Batteries
The Kodak EasyShare C195 uses two AA alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting.
- Locate the battery compartment door on the bottom of the camera.
- Slide the latch to open the compartment door.
- Insert two fresh AA alkaline batteries, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment door securely until it latches.

2. Insert Memory Card
The camera supports SD and SDHC memory cards. A memory card is required to store photos and videos.
- Open the battery/memory card compartment door (usually shared).
- Insert the SD or SDHC memory card into the card slot with the metal contacts facing the front of the camera, until it clicks into place.
- Close the compartment door securely.
Operating the Camera
1. Power On/Off
Press the Power button located on the top of the camera to turn it on or off. The lens will extend when powered on.
2. Taking Photos
To capture a still image:
- Turn on the camera.
- Frame your shot using the 3-inch bright LCD screen.
- Press the Shutter button halfway down to activate autofocus. The camera will beep and the focus frame will turn green when focus is achieved.
- Press the Shutter button all the way down to take the picture.

3. Using Zoom
The camera features a 5x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom.
- To zoom in, push the Zoom (T) lever.
- To zoom out, push the Zoom (W) lever.
4. Recording Videos
To record a video:
- Switch the camera to video mode (if applicable, or press the dedicated video record button).
- Press the Record button to start recording.
- Press the Record button again to stop recording.
