2. Safety Information
WARNING: Cancer & Reproductive Harm - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
Always exercise caution when working with tires and pressurized systems. Ensure the tire is properly supported and deflated before attempting any valve replacement. Keep out of reach of children.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Ensure the vehicle or equipment is stable and secured to prevent accidental movement.
- Do not over-tighten valve components, as this can cause damage.
- Always check for leaks after installation and re-inflation.
3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to replace a tractor tire valve core housing:
- Position the Tire: Rotate the tire so the valve stem is at the 12 o'clock position. This helps to minimize liquid loss if the tire is ballast-filled.
- Jack the Tire: Safely jack the tire off the ground to relieve pressure and allow for easier access and manipulation.
- Unscrew Existing Valve: Using an appropriate valve core tool, carefully unscrew and remove the existing valve core housing. Be prepared for air or liquid to escape.
- Screw in New Valve: Insert the new Slime CH3 core housing into the valve stem. Hand-tighten first, then use a valve core tool to secure it firmly. Do not overtighten.
- Reinflate Tire: Reinflate the tire to the manufacturer's recommended pressure. Check for any leaks around the new valve housing using a soapy water solution.

4. Operation
Once installed, the Slime CH3 core housing functions as a standard Schrader valve. It allows for inflation and deflation of the tire using appropriate air compressors or pumps. The chrome cap provides protection against dirt and moisture.
- To inflate, remove the chrome cap and attach an air hose.
- To deflate, remove the chrome cap and depress the pin in the center of the valve core.
- Always replace the chrome cap after inflation or deflation to protect the valve core.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and proper function of your tire valve core housings:
- Periodically inspect the valve core housings for any signs of damage, corrosion, or leaks.
- Keep the chrome caps clean and securely tightened to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the valve.
- If a leak is detected, re-tighten the core housing or replace it if necessary.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals that could degrade the rubber O-rings.
