Setup
- Prepare Work Area: Ensure your work surface is clean, dry, and protected from potential glue drips. Have a heat-resistant mat or surface available.
- Insert Glue Stick: Insert a 5/16-inch diameter (mini size) hot glue stick into the opening at the back of the glue gun. Push it gently until it stops.
- Position Stand: Extend the built-in stand to keep the hot nozzle elevated and prevent contact with your work surface.
- Plug In: Plug the glue gun into a standard 120-volt electrical outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the gun is heating.
- Heat Up: Allow approximately 3-5 minutes for the glue gun to reach its operating temperature (380°F / 193°C). The glue stick will soften and be ready for use.
Operating Instructions
- Apply Glue: Once heated, gently squeeze the trigger to advance the glue stick and dispense molten glue from the nozzle. Apply glue to one surface of the item you wish to bond.
- Join Surfaces: Immediately press the two surfaces together firmly. Hot glue sets quickly, so work efficiently.
- Refill Glue Stick: As the glue stick shortens, insert a new one into the back of the gun. The new stick will push the old one forward.
- Finish Use: When finished, unplug the glue gun from the electrical outlet.
- Cool Down: Allow the glue gun to cool completely on its stand before storing. Do not attempt to remove a partially used glue stick from the back of the gun while it is hot.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the glue gun is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. Gently wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the gun in water.
- Nozzle Care: Do not attempt to clean the nozzle while the gun is hot. Any dried glue on the nozzle can usually be carefully peeled off once cool.
- Storage: Store the cooled glue gun in a dry, safe place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the cord is not tightly wrapped or kinked.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Glue gun not heating. | Not plugged in, power outlet malfunction, damaged cord. | Ensure the gun is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check the power cord for visible damage. If damaged, discontinue use. |
| Glue not dispensing. | Insufficient heat-up time, glue stick not fully inserted, incorrect glue stick size. | Allow adequate heat-up time (3-5 minutes). Push the glue stick firmly into the chamber. Ensure you are using 5/16-inch diameter mini glue sticks. |
| Excessive glue dripping from nozzle. | Normal for high-temperature glue guns, gun left on too long. | A small amount of dripping is common. Use a silicone mat or protected surface. Unplug the gun when not actively applying glue. |
| Glue not bonding effectively. | Surfaces too cold, incompatible materials, insufficient glue. | Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Apply glue quickly and press surfaces together immediately. Verify material compatibility (see Specifications). |
