3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Setting Analog Time

3. Release the button when the analog hands reach the desired time.

3.2. Adjusting the Stainless Steel Band

The stainless steel band features an adjustable clasp to ensure a comfortable fit. To adjust the band:

1. Open the clasp and locate the small lever or tab that secures the buckle to the band.
2. Carefully lift this lever to unlock the buckle from its current position on the band.
3. Slide the buckle along the band to the desired length. Ensure the watch fits snugly but comfortably on your wrist.
4. Press the lever back down firmly to lock the buckle in place. Verify that the buckle is securely fastened before wearing the watch.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Casio AQ230A-7D watch has two buttons on the left side of the case. These buttons are used to navigate through the digital modes and adjust settings.

4.1. Navigating Digital Modes

Press the lower-left button to cycle through the digital modes:

• Timekeeping Mode: Displays current digital time, day, and date.
• Alarm Mode: Set and activate the daily alarm.
• Stopwatch Mode: Use the chronograph function.
• Dual Time Mode: View a second time zone.

4.2. Setting Digital Time and Date

1. In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold the upper-left button until the seconds digits start flashing. This indicates the setting mode.
2. Press the lower-left button to cycle through the settings: seconds, hour, minutes, year, month, day, 12/24-hour format.
3. Use the upper-left button to increase the flashing value.
4. Once all settings are adjusted, press the lower-left button to exit the setting mode.

4.3. Using the Alarm

1. Navigate to the Alarm Mode using the lower-left button.
2. Press and hold the upper-left button until the alarm hour digits flash.
3. Use the upper-left button to set the alarm hour, then press the lower-left button to move to minutes.
4. Set the alarm minutes using the upper-left button.
5. Press the lower-left button to exit the alarm setting mode.
6. To activate/deactivate the alarm or hourly time signal, press the upper-left button while in Alarm Mode (not in setting mode). An alarm icon will appear when activated.

4.4. Using the Stopwatch (Chronograph)

1. Navigate to the Stopwatch Mode using the lower-left button.
2. Press the upper-left button to start the stopwatch.
3. Press the upper-left button again to stop the stopwatch.
4. To reset the stopwatch, press the lower-left button while the stopwatch is stopped.

4.5. Using Dual Time

1. Navigate to the Dual Time Mode using the lower-left button.
2. Press and hold the upper-left button until the hour digits flash.
3. Use the upper-left button to set the hour for the second time zone, then press the lower-left button to move to minutes.
4. Set the minutes for the second time zone using the upper-left button.
5. Press the lower-left button to exit the dual time setting mode.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. However, it is not recommended for swimming, showering, or diving. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet to prevent water ingress.

5.2. Battery Replacement

The watch requires 1 LR44 battery. When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, it's time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
