Assembly and Setup

  1. Attach the Handle: Insert the handle into the main body of the steam mop until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Attach the Mop Head: Align the rectangular mop head with the base of the steam mop and push until it locks.
  3. Attach the Cleaning Pad: Lay one of the washable microfiber pockets on the floor. Place the mop head onto the pad, ensuring the pad is centered and secured by the hook-and-loop fasteners on the mop head.
  4. Fill the Water Tank: Open the water tank cap. Use the provided filling flask to pour distilled or demineralized water into the tank. Do not overfill. Close the cap securely. The tank capacity is 450mL.
  5. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating up.
  6. Heat-Up Time: Allow approximately 30 seconds for the steam mop to heat up and be ready for use.

Operating Instructions

  1. Initiate Steam: Once the mop is heated (indicator light on), pump the handle a few times to initiate steam. The S3550 features on-demand variable steam, activated by your natural mopping motion.
  2. Begin Mopping: Move the steam mop across your hard floor surfaces in a forward and backward motion. The super-heated steam will clean and sanitize as you move.

  1. Double-Sided Cleaning: The Shark Steam Pocket technology allows for double-sided cleaning. When one side of the microfiber pad becomes soiled, simply flip the mop head to use the clean side of the pad, effectively doubling your cleaning area.
