Setup Instructions
1. Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
- Remove all packaging materials and labels from the espresso machine.
- Wash the removable water reservoir, drip tray, cup rest, filter holder, and frothing nozzle in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
2. Filling the Water Reservoir
- Ensure the machine is unplugged.
- Remove the 50 oz. water reservoir from the back of the unit.
- Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line.
- Replace the reservoir securely onto the machine.

3. Priming the Pump
Before first use or after extended periods of non-use, the pump needs to be primed to ensure proper water flow.
- Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Place a cup under the brew head.
- Turn the control knob to the "Brew" position.
- Allow water to flow through until it runs smoothly, then turn the control knob to "Off". This process removes any air from the system.
Operating Instructions
1. Making Espresso with Ground Coffee
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
- Select the appropriate filter basket (single or double shot) and place it into the filter holder.
- Add finely ground espresso coffee to the filter basket. Do not overfill.
- Tamp the coffee grounds firmly and evenly.
- Attach the filter holder to the brew head, aligning it correctly and twisting to secure.
- Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray under the spouts.
- Turn the machine ON. Wait for the indicator light to show it's ready (usually green).
- Turn the control knob to the "Brew" position. Espresso will begin to flow.
- Turn the control knob to "Off" once the desired amount of espresso is brewed (typically 1-2 oz per shot).
- Carefully remove the filter holder and discard used grounds.

2. Making Espresso with Soft Pods
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
- Place a soft espresso pod into the appropriate filter basket.
- Attach the filter holder to the brew head, aligning it correctly and twisting to secure.
- Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray under the spouts.
- Turn the machine ON. Wait for the indicator light to show it's ready.
- Turn the control knob to the "Brew" position. Espresso will begin to flow.
- Turn the control knob to "Off" once the desired amount of espresso is brewed.
- Carefully remove the filter holder and discard the used pod.

3. Frothing Milk
- Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Turn the machine ON and wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate.
- Position the frothing nozzle just below the surface of the milk.
- Turn the control knob to the "Steam" position.
- Move the pitcher slowly up and down to create froth. For heating, immerse the nozzle deeper into the milk.
- Once desired froth and temperature are achieved, turn the control knob to "Off".
- Immediately wipe the frothing nozzle with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

4. Making Cappuccinos and Lattes
After brewing your espresso and frothing your milk, combine them to create your desired beverage.
- Pour the freshly brewed espresso into your cup.
- Gently pour the frothed milk over the espresso. For a cappuccino, spoon more foam on top. For a latte, use more steamed milk with a thin layer of foam.
- Add sugar or flavorings as desired.

Care and Maintenance
1. Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray and Cup Rest: Remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it and the cup rest in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
- Filter Holder and Filter Baskets: After each use, remove the filter holder, discard grounds/pods, and wash the holder and baskets in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Frothing Nozzle: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the nozzle with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, remove the nozzle and wash it. Run steam through the wand briefly to clear any internal milk residue.
- Water Reservoir: The 50 oz. removable water reservoir can be easily removed and cleaned with warm soapy water.

2. Descaling
Mineral deposits from water can build up over time and affect machine performance. Descale your machine regularly (e.g., every 2-3 months, or more often with hard water).
- Prepare a descaling solution: Mix white vinegar and water in a 1:2 ratio (e.g., 1 cup vinegar to 2 cups water), or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the brew head and steam wand.
- Turn the machine ON.
- Run half of the solution through the brew head by turning the control knob to "Brew".
- Turn the control knob to "Steam" and run the remaining solution through the steam wand.
- Turn the machine OFF and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Empty the reservoir, rinse it thoroughly, and refill with fresh water.
- Run several cycles of fresh water through both the brew head and steam wand to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
