Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. Be mindful of steam and the hot exterior of the kettle. The spout is designed for drip-free pouring.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle and ensure optimal performance.

5.1 Exterior Cleaning

  1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the brushed stainless steel finish.
  3. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.

5.2 Interior Cleaning and Descaling

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in hard water areas. Descaling is recommended periodically.

  1. Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy scale.
  3. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  4. If necessary, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.

5.3 Anti-Scale Filter Cleaning

The kettle is equipped with an anti-scale filter near the spout to prevent limescale particles from being poured into your cup.

  1. Ensure the kettle is cool and unplugged.
  2. Open the lid and carefully remove the anti-scale filter.
  3. Rinse the filter under running water and gently brush away any deposits.
  4. Reinsert the filter securely into its position.
