Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
- Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
- For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and mild soap solution, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely.
- Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the resin materials.
Water Resistance Guidelines
The GA100A-9A is water resistant to 200 meters (660 feet). This means it is suitable for recreational scuba diving, but not for saturation diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water intrusion.
Battery Replacement
This watch uses a single Lithium Metal battery. Battery life varies depending on usage. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper water resistance and function.
Troubleshooting
- Hands Not Matching Digital Time: Perform the Hand Home Position Correction procedure as described in the Setup section.
- Digital Display is Blank or Dim: The battery may be low. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
- Buttons Not Responding: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode. If the issue persists, a reset may be required (refer to the full user manual for advanced reset procedures).
- Watch Not Functioning After Water Exposure: Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
