Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when working with heavy equipment and machinery. Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in injury or damage to equipment.
- Ensure the engine cradle is stable and on a level surface before attempting to install the wheels.
- Verify that all fasteners are securely tightened after installation and before moving any engine.
- Do not exceed the weight capacity of the engine cradle or the wheel kit. Refer to your engine cradle's specifications for maximum load.
- Always engage the locking mechanism on the wheels when the engine cradle is stationary to prevent unintended movement.
- Inspect wheels and mounting hardware regularly for wear, damage, or loose connections. Replace damaged components immediately.
- Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts during operation.

Setup and Installation
- Prepare the Engine Cradle: Ensure your Allstar engine cradle (models ALL10130 through ALL10156) is clean and free of debris. Position the cradle on a stable, level surface.
- Identify Mounting Points: Locate the designated mounting holes on the legs or base of your engine cradle. These holes are designed to accommodate the 3/8" studs of the wheel kit.
- Attach Wheels: Insert the threaded stud of each wheel through the corresponding mounting hole on the engine cradle. Secure each wheel from the opposite side using the provided washer and nut. Hand-tighten initially.
- Final Tightening: Using an appropriate wrench, securely tighten all nuts. Do not overtighten, but ensure there is no wobble or looseness in the wheel attachment. Verify that all four wheels are firmly attached.
- Check Stability: Once all wheels are installed, gently test the stability of the cradle. Ensure it sits evenly on all four wheels.
Operating Instructions
Moving the Engine Cradle
To move the engine cradle, ensure the locking mechanisms on all four wheels are disengaged. Gently push or pull the cradle to its desired location. Avoid sudden movements or pushing over uneven surfaces that could cause the cradle to tip.
Engaging the Locking Mechanism
When the engine cradle is in its desired stationary position, engage the locking mechanism on each wheel. This is typically done by pressing down on a lever located on the wheel assembly. Ensure all four wheels are locked to prevent accidental rolling.
To disengage, lift the lever on each wheel.
Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the wheels, studs, nuts, and locking mechanisms for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. Check for loose fasteners and tighten as necessary.
- Cleaning: Keep the wheels and their swiveling components clean from dirt, debris, and grease to ensure smooth operation. Use a damp cloth to wipe down surfaces.
- Lubrication: Lightly lubricate the swivel bearings and axle points with a general-purpose grease or silicone spray if movement becomes stiff. Avoid over-lubricating, which can attract dirt.
- Storage: When not in use, store the engine cradle with wheels in a dry, clean environment to prolong their lifespan.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Wheels do not roll smoothly | Dirt or debris in bearings; lack of lubrication; damaged wheel. | Clean wheels and swivel components. Apply light lubricant. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary. |
| Locking mechanism not engaging/disengaging | Debris obstructing mechanism; bent lever; worn parts. | Clear any obstructions. Inspect lever for damage. If worn, replacement may be required. |
| Cradle feels unstable or wobbly | Loose mounting nuts; uneven installation; damaged wheel/stud. | Check and tighten all mounting nuts. Ensure wheels are installed evenly. Inspect each wheel and stud for damage. |
