2. Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating the power supply. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the product.

  • Installation and maintenance should only be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Ensure the power supply is disconnected from the main power source before any installation, wiring, or maintenance work.
  • Do not operate the unit in wet or humid conditions, or in areas with flammable gases or vapors.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Verify correct input voltage and polarity before connecting to the power supply.
  • Use appropriate wire gauges for input and output connections to handle the rated current.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Mounting

The DSP60-24 is designed for mounting on a standard 35mm DIN rail (EN 60715). Ensure the mounting surface is stable and capable of supporting the unit's weight.

  1. Hook the top edge of the power supply onto the DIN rail.
  2. Push the bottom edge of the power supply firmly until it clicks into place on the DIN rail.
  3. Verify that the unit is securely fastened and cannot be easily dislodged.

3.2 Wiring

Connect the input and output wiring to the screw terminals located on the unit. Refer to the labels on the power supply for correct terminal identification.

  • Input Connections: Connect the AC input (L, N) and protective earth (PE) to the designated input terminals. The unit accepts a wide input range of 85-265V AC or 120-370V DC.
  • Output Connections: Connect the DC load to the output terminals (+V, -V). Ensure correct polarity. The output voltage can be adjusted between 24V and 28V DC.
  • Tighten all screw terminals securely to prevent loose connections, which can cause overheating or intermittent operation.

3.3 Initial Power-Up

After completing all wiring, apply power to the unit.

  1. Turn on the main power supply to the unit.
  2. Observe the status indicator (LED) on the front panel. A green LED typically indicates normal operation.
  3. Measure the output voltage with a multimeter to confirm it is within the desired range.

4. Operation

4.1 Output Voltage Adjustment

The output voltage of the DSP60-24 can be adjusted within a range of 24V to 28V DC. A potentiometer for adjustment is typically located on the front panel of the unit.

  • Using a small screwdriver, carefully turn the adjustment potentiometer clockwise to increase the output voltage or counter-clockwise to decrease it.
  • Monitor the output voltage with a multimeter during adjustment to ensure it reaches the desired level.

4.2 Status Indicators

The power supply features an LED indicator on its front panel to display its operational status:

  • Green LED: Indicates normal operation and stable output voltage.
  • Red LED (if present) or No LED: May indicate a fault condition, such as overload, over-temperature, or no input power. Refer to the troubleshooting section.

5. Maintenance

The TDK-Lambda DSP60-24 is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance. However, periodic checks can help ensure longevity and optimal performance.

  • Cleaning: Ensure the ventilation openings are free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect wiring connections for tightness and signs of damage or discoloration. Check for any physical damage to the unit casing.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent premature failure.

6. Troubleshooting

If the power supply is not functioning as expected, refer to the table below for common issues and potential solutions.
