1. Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions before operating the Nikko 180130 Off-Road Truck'n. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

• Age Recommendation: This product is suitable for individuals aged 6 years and older.
• Choking Hazard: Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small, detachable parts that may be swallowed.
• Battery Safety: Always follow battery installation and usage guidelines. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the vehicle will not be used for an extended period.
• Operating Environment: Operate the vehicle in open areas, away from people, pets, and obstacles. Avoid operating near water or in wet conditions.
• Adult Supervision: Adult supervision is recommended, especially for younger users.

3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation (Remote Control)

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Using a screwdriver (not included), open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert one 9V battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

3.2. Battery Installation (Vehicle)

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the vehicle.
2. Using a screwdriver (not included), open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert four LR6 (AA) batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

3.3. Frequency Selection

The remote control and vehicle feature 3 selectable frequency bands (A, B, C). To operate, ensure both the vehicle and the remote control are set to the same frequency band. This allows up to three vehicles to be operated simultaneously without interference.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

1. Turn on the power switch on the vehicle.
2. Turn on the power switch on the remote control.
3. The vehicle and remote should now be paired.
4. To turn off, switch off the remote control first, then the vehicle.

4.2. Basic Controls

The Nikko 180130 features a full-function, 2-channel control system:

• Forward/Backward: Use the left control stick to move the vehicle forward or backward.
• Left/Right: Use the right control stick to steer the vehicle left or right.
• Stop: Release the control sticks to bring the vehicle to a stop.

The vehicle is designed for optimal speed of 5 km/h and offers independent speed and direction control for precise maneuvering.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the vehicle and remote control. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
• Battery Care: Remove batteries from both the vehicle and remote control if they will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Storage: Store the vehicle and remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Inspection: Periodically check for loose screws or damaged parts. Do not operate if damaged.

6. Troubleshooting

• Vehicle not responding:
  • Ensure both the vehicle and remote control are powered on.
  • Check that batteries are correctly installed and not depleted in both the vehicle and remote.
  • Verify that the frequency band switch on both the vehicle and remote are set to the same position (A, B, or C).
• Poor range or interference:
  • Ensure there are no other radio-controlled devices operating on the same frequency nearby.
  • Operate in an open area away from large metal objects or electrical interference.
  • Replace batteries if they are low.
• Vehicle moves slowly:
  • Batteries may be low. Replace with fresh batteries.
  • Check for obstructions in the wheels or drivetrain.
