Unpacking

Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your supplier immediately.

Mounting Location

  • Choose a location that allows for proper air circulation and is away from obstructions.
  • Ensure the mounting surface can support the heater's weight (approximately 23 pounds).
  • Maintain required clearances from walls and ceilings as per local codes.

Electrical Connection

This heater operates on 120 Volts and draws 12.5 Amps, with a wattage of 1500 watts. A dedicated circuit is highly recommended for optimal performance and safety.

  1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker before beginning any wiring.

Operating Instructions

The Marley EFF1500 heater features an automatic fan delay for comfortable operation.

Turning On the Heater

Once properly installed and wired, turn on the power at the circuit breaker. The heater is typically controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat (not included) or a dedicated switch.

Automatic Fan Delay

A fan delay is standard on all units. This feature prevents the unit from discharging cold air before the heating element warms up. When the heater is activated, the heating element will begin to warm, and the fan will engage automatically after a short delay (typically a minute or so) once sufficient heat is generated. This ensures that only warm air is circulated into the room.

Adjusting Heat Output

The heater has 3 fan speeds. Heat output is controlled by the external thermostat or control switch connected to the unit. Adjust the thermostat to your desired temperature setting. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.

Cleaning

  • Periodically clean the exterior of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the air intake and exhaust grilles are free from dust and debris. A vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment can be used to gently clean the grilles.

Annual Inspection

It is recommended to have a qualified technician inspect the heater annually to check electrical connections, heating elements, and fan operation.
