2. Safety Information

4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your charger for use:
- Identify Charger Components: Locate the battery slot, the charge indicator LED, and the foldable AC prongs on the back of the charger.
- Insert the Battery: Carefully slide your NP-BG1 or NP-FG1 battery into the battery slot on the charger. Ensure it is seated correctly with the contacts aligned.
- Connect to Power: Fold out the AC prongs and plug the charger directly into a standard wall power outlet (110V-240V).

5. Operating Instructions
Once the battery is inserted and the charger is plugged into a power outlet, the charging process begins automatically.
- Charging Indicator: The yellow LED indicator light on the charger will illuminate when a battery is correctly inserted and charging is in progress.
- Charging Completion: The yellow LED indicator light will turn off once the battery is fully charged. This typically takes approximately 4 hours, but actual charging time may vary depending on the battery's remaining capacity.
- Remove Battery: Once charging is complete, unplug the charger from the wall outlet and remove the charged battery.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the charger with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use.

- Charger LED does not illuminate:
- Ensure the charger is securely plugged into a functional wall outlet.
- Verify the battery is correctly inserted into the charger with contacts aligned.
- Check if the battery itself is damaged or at the end of its lifespan.
- Battery does not hold a charge after charging:
- The battery may be old or damaged and require replacement.
- Ensure you are using an authentic Sony charger to guarantee proper functionality and safety.
