1. Product Overview

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The scale requires 2 AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
  2. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Operation

3.1 Basic Weighing

  1. Place the scale on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Press the 'ON/OFF' button to turn on the scale. Wait for the display to show '0.0' or '0.00'.
  3. Gently place the item(s) to be weighed on the center of the weighing platform.
  4. Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen.

3.2 Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container to obtain the net weight of its contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the 'TARE' button. The display will reset to '0.0' or '0.00'.
  3. Place the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

3.3 Changing Weighing Units

The scale supports multiple weighing units. To switch between units:

  1. Press the 'MODE' button repeatedly to cycle through the available units: grams (g), ounces (oz), grains (gn), and carats (ct).
  2. The selected unit will be indicated on the LCD display.

3.4 Scale Operation Demonstration Video

4. Calibration

Calibration ensures the accuracy of your scale. It is recommended to calibrate the scale periodically or if you notice inconsistencies in measurements.

  1. Turn the scale ON.
  2. Wait for the display to show '0.0' or '0.00'.
  3. Press and HOLD the 'MODE' key until the display shows 'CAL', then release.
  4. Press the 'MODE' key again. The display will flash 'CAL' followed by the required calibration weight (e.g., '500.0g').
  5. Place the required calibration weight (not included) on the center of the platform.
  6. Wait until the screen says 'PASS'. Then remove the weight. Calibration is complete.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To ensure accurate readings and prolong the life of your scale, clean it regularly:

  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the platform and body of the scale.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or submerging the scale in water.
  • Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.

5.2 Storage

Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity. Keep the protective lid closed to prevent dust and damage to the weighing platform.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Inaccurate Readings

  • Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface, away from vibrations or drafts.
  • Check battery levels and replace if necessary.
  • Perform a calibration as described in Section 4.

6.2 Display Errors

  • If the display shows 'EEEE', the scale is overloaded. Remove items immediately to prevent damage.
  • If the display shows 'UNST', the scale is unstable. Place it on a firm, level surface.
