3. Water Resistance Guidelines
Your watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use, including showering and swimming in shallow water. It is not suitable for diving or prolonged submersion.
- Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
- Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
- Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. Strap Care
Leather straps can be affected by moisture, sweat, and direct sunlight. To prolong the life of your strap, avoid prolonged exposure to these elements. If the strap becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
3. Battery Replacement
When the battery needs replacement, the watch hands may stop or the chronograph function may become erratic. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized service center to maintain the watch's water resistance and ensure proper function.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
- Time Inaccurate: Ensure the time is set correctly. Extreme temperatures or strong magnetic fields can affect accuracy.
- Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero: This may require a chronograph reset procedure. Consult a watch technician if the issue persists after a battery change.
- Date Not Changing: Ensure the date is not set during the prohibited hours (9 PM - 3 AM). If the issue persists, manual adjustment may be required.
