3.3 Connecting the Wireless Receiver
The Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse use a single USB receiver for connection to your computer.
- Locate the USB wireless receiver. It is typically stored in the mouse's battery compartment or included separately in the packaging.
- Plug the USB wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This process may take a few moments.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Keyboard Functions
- Standard Keys: All standard alphanumeric, symbol, and function keys operate as expected.
- Multimedia Keys: Dedicated keys for volume control (up, down, mute), play/pause, previous track, and next track are located at the top of the keyboard.
- Function Keys (F1-F12): These keys may have secondary functions (e.g., brightness control, wireless toggle) indicated by icons. To activate these secondary functions, press the Fn key simultaneously with the desired function key.
- Numeric Keypad: A full numeric keypad is included for data entry. Ensure Num Lock is active if numbers are not appearing.
4.2 Mouse Functions

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and appearance:
- Ensure both the keyboard and mouse are powered off or disconnected from the computer.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- For the keyboard, use compressed air to remove debris from between the keys.
- For the mouse, gently wipe the optical sensor area on the underside to ensure accurate tracking.
5.2 Battery Replacement
When the keyboard or mouse performance degrades (e.g., delayed response, erratic movement), it may be time to replace the batteries. Refer to Section 3.2 for battery installation steps. Always replace all batteries in a device at the same time with new ones of the same type.
