Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the travel mug and all its components from the packaging.

- Pre-Conditioning (Optional): For optimal temperature retention, pre-heat the mug with hot water for 5-10 minutes before adding hot beverages, or pre-cool with cold water for 5-10 minutes before adding cold beverages.
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Mug: Fill the mug with your desired beverage. Do not overfill; leave approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space from the top rim to allow for the lid and prevent spills.
- Securing the Lid: Place the lid onto the mug and twist clockwise until it is securely tightened. Ensure the lid is properly aligned to create a leak-proof seal.
- Using the DRINKLOCK Mechanism:
- To open the drinking spout, slide the lever on the lid to the 'OPEN' position.
- To close and seal the drinking spout, slide the lever to the 'CLOSE' position. Ensure it clicks into place for leak-proof transport.
- Utilizing the Tea Hook: The lid features a built-in tea hook. This hook can be used to hold tea bags or most loose leaf infusers securely in place while brewing.

Maintenance and Cleaning

- Reassembling the Lid: After cleaning, ensure all lid components are completely dry. Carefully reassemble the lid, making sure the central circular piece is locked back into place to ensure a proper seal.
- Drying and Storage: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and storing the mug. Store with the lid slightly ajar to prevent odors.
Troubleshooting
- Beverages not staying hot/cold: Ensure the lid is securely tightened and the DRINKLOCK mechanism is in the 'CLOSE' position. Pre-conditioning the mug (as described in Setup) can also improve temperature retention.
- Lid leaking: Check that the lid is fully tightened and the DRINKLOCK lever is completely in the 'CLOSE' position. Ensure all lid components, especially the silicone gaskets, are correctly assembled and free from damage or debris.
- Difficulty opening/closing lid: Check for any food particles or residue that might be obstructing the mechanism. Disassemble and clean the lid thoroughly.
- Exterior scratches: The painted finish on stainless steel products may show scratches over time with regular use. This is normal wear and tear. If aesthetic appearance is a primary concern, consider a natural stainless steel finish option.
