Product Overview
The MaxxFan Deluxe is the only complete RV ventilation system that incorporates a vent, fan, and rain shield in a single all-in-one unit. It features twin lifting arms to prevent lid fluttering in high winds or while driving. The powerful, fuse-protected, long-life, sealed ball bearing 12-volt fan motor drives a 12-inch, 10-blade fan. This unit fits all standard 14" x 14" roof openings and includes all necessary mounting screws and hardware (roof sealant must be purchased separately). It efficiently brings in fresh air and removes hot, musty air and odors.

Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your Maxxfan Deluxe. The unit is designed to fit standard 14" x 14" RV roof openings.
Components Overview:

Installation Process:
- Prepare the Opening: Ensure your RV roof opening is a standard 14" x 14". Remove any existing vent and thoroughly clean the area around the opening.
- Apply Sealant: Apply a continuous strip of butyl caulk to the underside of the receiving flange, ensuring all screw holes are covered.
- Position the Receiving Flange: Insert the receiving flange into the roof opening. It should be centered, with the metal clips facing the sides of the vehicle (not front or rear).
- Secure the Flange: Fasten the receiving flange to the roof using the provided screws. Be careful not to overtighten to avoid cracking the flange.
- Connect Wiring: Connect the Maxxfan's 12V DC power wires to your vehicle's 12V power supply. Ensure proper polarity (black wire is positive).
- Mount the Fan Unit: With the Maxxfan open and the exhaust/intake louvers facing the rear of the vehicle, lower the fan unit onto the receiving flange. Ensure power wires slide to the interior and do not get caught.
- Secure the Fan Unit: Fasten the Maxxfan to the receiving flange using the four 3/4-inch long, number 10 stainless steel screws provided.
- Seal the Installation: Apply a bead of self-leveling lap sealant (such as Dicor 501 LSW) over every exposed screw head and along the outside edge of the flange, all the way around the vent.
- Install Interior Garnish Ring: Place any excess wiring into the interior roof opening and slide the garnish ring into position. Fasten it using the four painted flathead screws provided.
