5. Installation
Important: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with installation.
5.1 Mounting the Track Head
- Align the conductor prongs on the track head's base with the slot in the track.
- Pull down on the black plastic base cover (the cubic area that connects to the track) so it slides back.
- While holding the sliding part back, insert the end of the track head into the track slot.
- Rotate the track head 90 degrees to engage the conductors.
- Release the black plastic base cover. The track head should now be securely attached to the track.
5.2 Bulb Installation
This track head is designed for E26 base bulbs, up to 75 watts. It is compatible with PAR30LN incandescent bulbs and many MR16 GU10 LED bulbs.
- Gently pull the socket out of the track head housing.
- Carefully screw the E26 base bulb into the socket. Do not overtighten.
- Reinsert the socket/bulb assembly into the housing.
- Secure the bulb in place using the provided ring clip. Note: If using certain LED bulbs, the flat glass lens may not be necessary or may interfere with fit. Omitting the glass lens can also aid in heat dissipation for LED bulbs.

6. Operation
Once installed and powered, the track head can be adjusted to direct light as needed.
- Adjusting Angle: Gently pivot the track head on its joint to achieve the desired lighting angle. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage.
- Power Control: The track head is controlled by the track lighting system's power switch, typically a wall switch.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your track head.
- Cleaning: Ensure power is off. Wipe the exterior of the track head with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off. Follow the bulb installation steps (Section 5.2) in reverse to remove the old bulb, then install a new one.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your track head, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Light does not turn on:
- Check if the circuit breaker is on.
- Verify the bulb is correctly installed and not burnt out.
- Ensure the track head is properly seated and rotated 90 degrees in the track to make electrical contact.
- Difficulty installing bulb:
- Ensure the socket is fully pulled out of the housing before attempting to screw in the bulb.
- Some bulbs, especially certain LED types, may have a tight fit. Ensure proper alignment and gentle pressure.
- Track head feels loose or falls from track:
- Re-seat the track head by following the installation steps in Section 5.1, ensuring the 90-degree rotation and release of the plastic base cover.
- Inspect the plastic base for any visible damage or fractures. If damaged, replacement may be necessary.
