6.2. Descaling
Descaling is essential to maintain the machine's performance and ensure consistent coffee quality. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Refer to the Nespresso website or contact Nespresso Club for specific descaling instructions and descaling solution.

- Fill the water tank with the Nespresso descaling solution and water as per the descaling kit instructions.
- Place a large container (at least 1 liter) under the coffee outlet.
- Follow the specific descaling procedure outlined in your descaling kit or Nespresso's official guide, which typically involves pressing specific buttons in a sequence to initiate the descaling cycle.
- After the descaling solution has run through, rinse the machine thoroughly by running several cycles with fresh water.
7. Troubleshooting
- No coffee flow: Check if the water tank is filled. Ensure a capsule is correctly inserted and the lever is closed. Descale the machine if necessary.
- Coffee is not hot enough: Preheat your cup by running a Lungo cycle without a capsule. Descale the machine if necessary.
- Aeroccino not frothing milk: Ensure the whisk is correctly inserted. Use fresh, cold milk. Clean the frother thoroughly.
- Machine leaking: Check the water tank for proper seating. Ensure the drip tray is not overflowing. If leaking persists, contact Nespresso Customer Support.
