Setup

Installation

Professional installation is recommended for this unit. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the unit or your vehicle's electrical system. Ensure the vehicle's battery is disconnected before beginning installation.

  1. Mounting: Securely mount the receiver into the vehicle's dashboard using the provided mounting hardware.
  2. Wiring: Connect the power, ground, speaker, and accessory wires according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate installation guide. Ensure proper insulation for all connections.
  3. Antenna: Connect the vehicle's antenna cable to the receiver's antenna input.
  4. Pre-outs: If using external amplifiers, connect the RCA pre-out cables (Front, Rear, Subwoofer) to your amplifier inputs.
  5. Testing: Reconnect the vehicle battery and perform a functional test of all features before fully reassembling the dashboard.

Initial Power On

After installation, press the MOD/PWR button to turn on the unit. The display will illuminate. Adjust the volume using the rotary knob.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

  • Power On/Off: Press the MOD/PWR button to turn the unit on or off.
  • Mode Selection: Press the MOD/PWR button repeatedly to cycle through available sources (DVD, USB, SD, AV IN, Radio).
  • Volume Control: Rotate the large central knob clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
  • Mute: Press the MUT button to temporarily mute the audio. Press again to restore.
  • Detachable Face: Press the REL button to release the detachable faceplate. Always remove the faceplate when leaving the vehicle unattended for security.

DVD Playback

  1. Insert a DVD disc into the disc slot with the label side facing up. The unit will automatically switch to DVD mode and begin playback.
  2. Use the AMS button for track selection or fast forward/rewind.
  3. The EQ button allows selection of preset equalizer settings.

USB and SD Media Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive into the front USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Press the MOD/PWR button until "USB" or "SD" mode is selected.
  3. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing compatible media files.
  4. Use the track skip buttons (left/right arrows near volume knob) to navigate tracks.

AV Input Usage

  1. Connect an external audio/video source to the front A/V IN port using an appropriate cable.
  2. Press the MOD/PWR button until "AV IN" mode is selected.
  3. The audio and video from the external source will be displayed and played through the unit.

Radio Operation

  1. Press the MOD/PWR button until "Radio" mode is selected.
  2. Press the BND button to cycle through radio bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2).
  3. Use the track skip buttons to manually tune frequencies or seek for strong stations.
  4. Press and hold the track skip buttons for automatic station seeking.
  5. The LOC button toggles between local and distant reception modes.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Unit: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the unit's surface. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Screen Care: Gently wipe the 3-inch screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not press hard on the screen.
  • Detachable Face Care: When removed, store the detachable faceplate in its protective case to prevent scratches and damage. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth only.
  • Disc Slot: Keep the disc slot free of dust and debris. Do not insert foreign objects.
