  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the back of the phone console.
  2. Connect to Network:
    • Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the phone.
    • Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a network switch or router.
    • Note: If your network provides Power over Ethernet (PoE), the phone will power on automatically.
  3. Connect Power (if not using PoE): If PoE is not available, connect the power adapter to the power port on the back of the phone, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  4. Initial Boot-up: The phone will power on and begin its boot sequence. This may take a few minutes. The screen will display the Polycom logo and then proceed to load the operating system and network configuration.
  5. Network Configuration:
    • The phone is typically configured to obtain an IP address automatically via DHCP.
    • If static IP configuration is required, access the phone's settings menu after boot-up (refer to Section 4.3 for menu navigation).
