Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the Handset: Insert one end of the coiled handset cord into the jack on the side of the phone unit and the other end into the jack on the handset.
  2. Connect the Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the "LINE" jack on the back of the phone unit and the other end into your wall telephone jack.
  3. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the phone unit. Insert 4 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely. These batteries power the LCD display and maintain settings during power outages.

Basic Call Functions

  • Making a Call:
    1. Lift the handset or press the HANDS FREE button to activate the speakerphone.

    3. Wait for the call to connect.
  • Receiving a Call:
    1. When the phone rings, lift the handset or press the HANDS FREE button to answer.
  • Ending a Call:
    1. Place the handset back on the cradle or press the HANDS FREE button again if using speakerphone.
  • Speakerphone: Press the HANDS FREE button to toggle speakerphone mode on or off during a call.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the VOL buttons (UP/DOWN) to adjust the speakerphone or handset volume during a call.

Caller ID Functions

  • Talking Caller ID: The phone will audibly announce the caller's number when an incoming call is detected, provided you have Caller ID service from your telephone provider.
  • Viewing Call History:
    1. When the phone is idle, press the UP or DOWN buttons to scroll through the stored caller ID records.
    2. Press REDIAL to call back a number from the caller ID list.
    3. Press DELETE to remove a record from the caller ID history.
