Initial Setup
Starting the Watch
Upon receiving your watch, you may find a small plastic spacer inserted under the crown (if applicable) or between the buttons. This spacer prevents battery drain during shipping. Remove this plastic spacer to activate the watch and begin operation.
Setting Time and Date
To set the time and date:
- In the Timekeeping Mode, press and hold the ADJUST button (usually located on the top left) until the seconds digits begin to flash, indicating the setting screen.
- Press the MODE button (usually bottom left) to cycle through the settings: seconds, hour, minutes, year, month, day.
- Use the TEL/FWD (forward) and REV/TIME (reverse) buttons (usually on the right side or calculator keypad) to change the flashing value.
- Once all settings are correct, press the ADJUST button again to exit the setting screen.
Battery Information
Your Casio DBC-32D-1ADF watch is powered by a CR2025 lithium battery, designed for approximately 10 years of operation. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. Refer to the Maintenance section for more details.

Operating Instructions
Timekeeping Mode
This is the default mode, displaying the current time (hour, minutes, seconds), AM/PM indicator, year, month, date, and day of the week. You can switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats. The watch also features a Dual Time function, allowing you to keep track of a second time zone.

Databank (Telememo)
The Databank feature allows you to store up to 25 sets of data, each including an 8-character name and a 15-digit telephone number. It supports characters for 13 different languages, making it versatile for international use. The watch also includes a remaining memory screen and an auto-sort function for convenience.

Calculator Function
An integrated 8-digit calculator allows you to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) directly on your wrist. It also includes a currency conversion function, useful for travel or international transactions.

Alarms
The watch features five independent multi-function alarms: four one-time alarms and one snooze/one-time alarm. These can be set as daily alarms, date alarms, 1-month alarms, or monthly alarms. An hourly time signal can also be activated to chime every hour on the hour.

Stopwatch
The 1/100-second stopwatch has a measuring capacity of 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds. It supports various measuring modes, including elapsed time, split time, and 1st-2nd place times, making it suitable for tracking activities.

Backlight (Illuminator)
The watch features an LED backlight for easy readability in low-light conditions. It includes an auto light switch function, which illuminates the display automatically when you angle your wrist towards your face, and an afterglow feature that keeps the light on for a few seconds after release.

Care and Maintenance
Water Resistance
Your watch is rated for 50 Metres (5 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. However, it is not recommended for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water, as steam and pressure changes can compromise the seals. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet.
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch:
- Wipe the case and band with a soft, dry cloth regularly.
- For stainless steel bands, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish.
Battery Replacement
While the CR2025 battery offers a long life, eventual replacement will be necessary. It is highly recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center or a qualified watch technician. This ensures proper sealing and maintains the watch's water resistance.
Troubleshooting
Display is Blank or Dim
- Check Battery: The battery may be low or depleted. Consider professional battery replacement.
- Power Saving Mode: Some watches have a power-saving feature that turns off the display after a period of inactivity. Press any button to reactivate.
Incorrect Time or Date
