Setup and First Use
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface away from water sources and heat.
2. Rinsing the Water Tank
Before first use, rinse the water tank with fresh drinking water. Fill the tank with fresh water up to the MAX level and place it back into the machine.
3. Priming the Machine
- Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the Power button to turn on the machine. The buttons will flash as the machine heats up.
- Once the buttons are steady, place a container (at least 0.5 liters) under the coffee outlet.
- Press the Lungo button. The machine will dispense hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to thoroughly rinse the internal circuits.
4. Attaching the Milk Container (Optional)
If you plan to make milk-based beverages, attach the milk container. Ensure the milk frother spout is correctly positioned. The milk container can be filled with fresh cold milk.

Operating Instructions
1. Making Espresso or Lungo
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Lift the lever and insert a Nespresso capsule into the slot. Close the lever.
- Place a cup under the coffee outlet.
- Press either the Espresso button (for a short coffee) or the Lungo button (for a longer coffee). The machine will start brewing and stop automatically.
- After brewing, lift the lever to eject the used capsule into the internal container.
2. Making Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato
- Fill the milk container with fresh, cold milk up to the desired level. Attach it to the machine.
- Lift the lever and insert a Nespresso capsule. Close the lever.
- Adjust the drip tray to accommodate your cup.
- Place your cup under the milk frother spout and coffee outlet.
- Press either the Cappuccino button or the Latte Macchiato button. The machine will first froth and dispense milk, then brew the coffee.
- After brewing, lift the lever to eject the used capsule.

3. Programming Cup Sizes
You can customize the volume of your Espresso, Lungo, Cappuccino, and Latte Macchiato:
- For Espresso/Lungo: Insert a capsule and place a cup. Press and hold the desired button (Espresso or Lungo). Release the button when the desired volume is reached. The machine will remember this setting for future use.
- For Cappuccino/Latte Macchiato: Fill the milk container and insert a capsule. Place a cup. Press and hold the desired button. The machine will first dispense milk. Release the button when the desired milk volume is reached. The machine will then start brewing coffee. Press and hold the button again to program the coffee volume. Release when desired coffee volume is reached.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your machine.
1. Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray and Used Capsule Container: Empty and rinse daily.
- Milk Container: After each milk-based drink, press the "Clean" button on the milk container to rinse the milk system. For thorough cleaning, disassemble the milk container components and wash them with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- Machine Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the machine in water.
2. Descaling
The machine has an indicator light that will illuminate when descaling is required. Descaling removes mineral deposits that can affect machine performance and coffee taste. Use a Nespresso-approved descaling solution and follow the instructions provided with the descaler or in the full product manual.
- Empty the drip tray and used capsule container.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution as per the descaler's instructions.
- Place a large container (at least 1 liter) under the coffee outlet.
- Follow the specific descaling procedure for your model, usually involving pressing and holding certain buttons.
- After the descaling cycle, rinse the machine by running several cycles with fresh water.
Troubleshooting
