Setup
- Power Connection:
Connect the AC power cord to a standard electrical outlet. The LED display will illuminate.

- Battery Backup Installation:
For uninterrupted timekeeping during power outages, install one (1) AA battery (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. This battery maintains time settings but does not power the display or alarm during an outage.
- Setting Current Time:
Locate the 'TIME', 'HOUR', and 'MINUTE' buttons on the top of the clock.

- Press and hold the 'TIME' button.
- While holding 'TIME', press 'HOUR' repeatedly to adjust the hour.
- Continue holding 'TIME', and press 'MINUTE' repeatedly to adjust the minute.
- Observe the 'PM' indicator on the display to ensure correct AM/PM setting.
- Release the 'TIME' button when the correct time is set.
Operating Instructions
- Setting the Alarm Time:
Locate the 'ALARM', 'HOUR', and 'MINUTE' buttons on the top of the clock.
- Press and hold the 'ALARM' button.
- While holding 'ALARM', press 'HOUR' repeatedly to adjust the alarm hour.
- Continue holding 'ALARM', and press 'MINUTE' repeatedly to adjust the alarm minute.
- Ensure the 'PM' indicator is correct for your desired alarm time.
- Release the 'ALARM' button when the desired alarm time is set.
- Activating/Deactivating the Alarm:
Locate the 'ON-OFF' slide switch on the top right of the clock.
- Slide the switch to 'ON' to activate the alarm. An alarm indicator light will appear on the display.
- Slide the switch to 'OFF' to deactivate the alarm. The alarm indicator light will turn off.
- Using the Snooze Function:
When the alarm sounds, press the large 'SNOOZE' button located on the top center of the clock. The alarm will pause for approximately 9 minutes before sounding again.
- Ascending Alarm Feature:
The alarm is designed to start at a low volume and gradually increase in intensity, providing a gentle wake-up experience that becomes more insistent if not turned off or snoozed.

- Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.

Troubleshooting
- No Display or Power:
- Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a live electrical outlet.
- Check if the battery backup is correctly installed. Note: The battery backup only maintains time settings during a power outage; it does not power the display or alarm.
- Alarm Does Not Sound:
- Verify that the alarm time is set correctly.
- Ensure the 'ON-OFF' switch for the alarm is in the 'ON' position. The alarm indicator light should be visible on the display.
- Double-check the AM/PM setting for the alarm time.
- Display is Too Bright:
- This Westclox model features a 'Super Bright' LED display for enhanced readability. Please note that there is no adjustable dimmer function on this unit.
