Maintenance

To keep your Westclox alarm clock in optimal condition, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the AA battery annually to ensure reliable backup power for your time settings.
  • Placement: Place the clock on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture.

Troubleshooting

  • No Display or Power:
    • Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a live electrical outlet.
    • Check if the battery backup is correctly installed. Note: The battery backup only maintains time settings during a power outage; it does not power the display or alarm.
  • Alarm Does Not Sound:
    • Verify that the alarm time is set correctly.
    • Ensure the 'ON-OFF' switch for the alarm is in the 'ON' position. The alarm indicator light should be visible on the display.
    • Double-check the AM/PM setting for the alarm time.
