3. Setup Instructions
Your NOVA Zoom Rollator Walker comes mostly pre-assembled. Follow these steps to prepare it for use:
- Unpack and Unfold: Carefully remove the rollator from its packaging. It will be in a folded position.
- Remove Protective Stoppers: Locate the rubber stoppers on the frame where the handles are inserted. Remove and discard these stoppers.
- Insert Handles: Insert the handles into the frame as far as they will go. These inserts also accommodate the height adjustment knobs.
- Unfold the Walker: Squeeze the hand brakes and push the sides of the walker outward until it fully unfolds. Push down on the middle bar of the seat until it locks into place.
- Adjust Handle Height: Adjust the handle height to your preferred setting using the self-threading height adjustment knobs. A good starting point is to align the top of the handle with your wrist when your arms are relaxed at your sides, allowing for a slight 30-degree bend in your elbow when gripping. Ensure both handles are at the same height and the screws are tightened securely.
- Install Backrest: Insert the backrest into the designated holders on the frame. Push the brass buttons on the backrest and slide it through until it locks securely into place. Pull on the backrest to confirm it is fully secured.

4. Operating Instructions
- Walking: Push the rollator forward as you walk, maintaining a comfortable distance. Ensure all four wheels are on the ground for stability.
- Controlling Speed: To slow down, gently pull up on the feather touch hand brakes. These brakes require minimal effort.
- Engaging Parking Brakes: To lock the wheels for parking or sitting, push the brake levers downward until they click into place. Always ensure the parking brakes are engaged before sitting.
- Releasing Parking Brakes: To release the parking brakes, pull the levers upward.
- Sitting: Before sitting, ensure the rollator is on a flat, stable surface and the parking brakes are fully engaged. Sit down slowly and carefully. Do not scoot or attempt to move the rollator while seated.
- Folding for Transport/Storage (Lock n' Load):
- Lift the seat by pulling up on the middle bar.
- Locate the red Lock n' Load hinge stopper on the front frame. Insert this into the hinge to secure the walker in a folded position.
- To unfold, gently lean the Zoom towards you to release the hinge stopper, then push down on the Lock n' Load mechanism. Squeeze the brakes and push outward to fully open the walker.
- Using the Storage Pouch: Lift the padded seat to access the roomy storage pouch. Use it to carry personal items, keeping them secure and out of sight. The inner pocket is suitable for smaller items like keys or a phone.

5. Maintenance

- Brake Inspection: Regularly check the feather touch hand brakes to ensure they are functioning correctly and provide adequate stopping power. If brakes feel loose or ineffective, consult a professional for adjustment or repair.
- Wheel Inspection: Periodically inspect the 8" wheels for wear and tear. Ensure they rotate freely and are securely attached.
- General Check: Ensure all screws, bolts, and adjustment knobs are tight and secure before each use.
