Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Daytona 65602 Push-Cancel Set Switch. This left-side switch housing is designed for motorcycles with a handlebar diameter of φ22.2 mm and includes integrated controls for turn signals, headlights (HI/LOW), passing, and horn functions. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.
Setup and Installation
The Daytona 65602 switch is designed for left-side handlebar mounting. Ensure your motorcycle's handlebar has a diameter of φ22.2 mm (approximately 0.9 inches) for proper fitment. The housing mounting width is 45mm.
Important: This switch requires simultaneous installation with a compatible clutch lever and holder set (Daytona models 63406/33442 are recommended).
Wiring Connection
The switch comes with a harness length of 570 mm (22.4 inches) and includes a dedicated APE connection harness. Carefully connect the wiring for the turn signals, headlight (HI/LOW), passing switch, and horn switch to your motorcycle's electrical system. Refer to your motorcycle's service manual for specific wiring diagrams if needed. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent short circuits.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your Daytona 65602 switch, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the switch housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the plastic and markings.
- Inspection: Regularly check the wiring harness for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Ensure all connections remain secure.
- Environmental Protection: The switch has an International Protection Rating of IP541, indicating a degree of protection against dust ingress and splashing water. While robust, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions or direct high-pressure water sprays during cleaning.
- Contact Material: The internal contacts are made of metal. If experiencing intermittent issues, ensure the switch is clean and free from debris that might obstruct contact.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Daytona 65602 switch, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- Turn Signals Not Functioning or Malfunctioning:
- Check all wiring connections, especially the dedicated APE connection harness, for looseness or corrosion.
- Verify that the turn signal bulbs are functional and correctly installed.
- Inspect the turn signal relay for proper operation.
- Ensure the push-cancellation mechanism is not stuck or obstructed.
- Headlight (HI/LOW) or Passing Switch Issues:
- Check the headlight bulb(s) for functionality.
- Inspect the wiring to the headlight for continuity and secure connections.
- Ensure the switch lever/button moves freely and makes proper contact.
- Horn Not Working:
- Check the horn unit itself for power and ground connections.
- Verify the horn button is not stuck and makes proper electrical contact when pressed.
- General Electrical Issues:
- Check the motorcycle's fuse box for any blown fuses related to the lighting or horn circuits.
- Ensure the motorcycle's battery is adequately charged and providing sufficient voltage.
If problems persist after performing these checks, it is recommended to consult a qualified motorcycle technician.
