The small rotating seconds hand at the 3 o'clock position will stop when the crown is in this position, allowing for precise time setting.
- Once the time and date are set, push the crown back in fully towards the case.
- Screw the crown back down tightly by turning it clockwise while applying slight pressure. This ensures water resistance.
Operating the Chronograph
The chronograph function allows for precise measurement of elapsed time. The watch features screw-in chronograph push-buttons to enhance water resistance and prevent accidental activation.
- Ensure chronograph push-buttons are unscrewed before use. Turn them counter-clockwise until they are free.
- Start/Stop: Press the upper push-button to start the chronograph. The central sweep seconds hand will begin to move, and the small rotating chronograph minutes at the 9 o'clock position will track elapsed minutes. Press the upper push-button again to stop the chronograph.
- Reset: After stopping the chronograph, press the lower push-button to reset all chronograph hands (central sweep seconds and chronograph minutes) to their zero positions.
- Screw in push-buttons: After using the chronograph, screw the push-buttons back down tightly by turning them clockwise. This maintains the watch's water resistance.
Water Resistance
Your TAG Heuer Grand Carrera watch is water resistant to 330 feet (100 meters). This rating makes it suitable for:
- Swimming
- Snorkeling
Important: This watch is not suitable for diving. Always ensure the crown and chronograph push-buttons are fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or push-buttons while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise its water resistance.
Care and Maintenance
