Setup Instructions

1. Unfold the Board: Place the ironing board face down on a flat, stable surface.
2. Extend Support Bars: Locate the center support bar and pull it upwards. Then, pull up one of the two cross support bars.
3. Secure the Supports: Snap the center support bar into the designated slot on the cross support bar. Ensure all legs are securely locked into place for stability.
4. Position for Use: Flip the board over to its upright position. It is now ready for ironing.
5. Retract Iron Rest (Optional): If needed, slide out the retractable iron rest from the end of the board.

Storage

When collapsed, the ironing board has a slim profile of approximately 1.5 inches. It can be easily stored by sliding it into tight spaces or by hanging it on the back of a door using the included door hanging bar.

Operating Instructions

Once the ironing board is set up on a stable surface:

1. Prepare Garment: Lay the garment flat on the ironing surface, ensuring it is smooth and free of wrinkles.
2. Iron Placement: Place your iron on the retractable iron rest when not actively ironing to prevent accidental burns or damage to the garment or surface.
3. Ironing Technique: Follow the garment's care label instructions for appropriate iron temperature. Iron in smooth, even strokes. The perforated steel mesh top and padded cover facilitate steam penetration for effective wrinkle removal.
4. Safety: Always unplug your iron when not in use and allow it to cool completely before storing.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Cover: The 100% cotton cover can be removed and spot cleaned as needed. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching.
• Replacing the Cover: Over time, the ironing board cover and padding may wear out. Replacement covers (Model #1209) are available separately.
• Frame Care: Wipe the metal frame with a damp cloth to remove dust or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Board feels unstable or wobbly.

Solution: Ensure all support bars are fully extended and securely locked into place. Verify the board is placed on a flat, even surface. Uneven surfaces can affect stability.

Problem: Difficulty in folding or unfolding the board.

Solution: Apply gentle, firm pressure when engaging or disengaging the support bar mechanisms. Avoid forcing components. Refer to the "Setup Instructions" for the correct procedure.

Problem: Iron rest does not slide smoothly.

Solution: Check for any obstructions or debris in the sliding mechanism. Clean the area if necessary. Ensure the iron rest is aligned correctly within its tracks.
