Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the RCA RP8075-RS 5-Disc CD Player. This manual provides important information regarding the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new audio system. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  • Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  • Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
  • Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the CD player from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage.

2. Placement

Place the CD player on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

3. Connecting to an Amplifier/Receiver

  1. Connect one end of the supplied audio cable to the AUDIO OUT jacks (red for right, white for left) on the back of the CD player.
  2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to an available audio input on your amplifier or receiver (e.g., CD IN, AUX IN). Match the red and white connectors.

4. Power Connection

Plug the power cord into the AC IN socket on the back of the CD player, then plug the other end into a standard AC wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz).

5. Remote Control Batteries

Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert the supplied batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).

Operating Instructions

1. Loading Discs

  1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
  2. Place up to five CDs onto the disc carousel, label side up. Ensure discs are seated correctly in their respective trays.
  3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray. The player will scan the discs.

2. Basic Playback

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/‖) button to start playback of the first loaded disc.
  3. To pause, press PLAY/PAUSE (►/‖) again. Press again to resume.
  4. To stop playback, press the STOP (■) button.
  5. To skip tracks, use the SKIP FORWARD (►►) or SKIP BACKWARD (◄◄) buttons.
  6. To select a specific disc, press the corresponding DISC 1-5 button on the remote control or front panel.

3. Advanced Features

Program Play

Allows you to create a custom playlist of up to 32 tracks from any loaded disc.

  1. With the player stopped, press the PROGRAM button.
  2. Use the DISC 1-5 buttons to select the desired disc.
  3. Use the SKIP FORWARD/BACKWARD buttons to select the desired track.
  4. Press PROGRAM again to add the track to the program list.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to add more tracks.
  6. Press PLAY to start program playback.

Repeat Play

Press the REPEAT button during playback to cycle through repeat modes: Repeat Track, Repeat Disc, Repeat All, Repeat Program (if programmed).

Random Play

Press the RANDOM button during playback to play tracks in a random order.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents. For stubborn stains, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.

Cleaning Discs

Wipe discs from the center outwards with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive materials. Avoid touching the playing surface of the disc.

Laser Lens Care

The laser lens should not require cleaning under normal use. If playback issues persist, consult a qualified service technician. Do not attempt to clean the lens yourself with cotton swabs or other objects.
