1. Introduction

The AcuRite 00611 Indoor Outdoor Thermometer with Wireless Temperature Sensor & Hygrometer provides precise, reliable temperature and humidity readings for both indoor and outdoor environments. This device helps you monitor weather conditions and maintain comfortable living spaces. The main display unit features a large, easy-to-read LCD screen with temperature trend indicators and daily high/low information. 3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Main Display Unit: Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the main display unit. Insert 2 x AA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Replace the battery compartment cover.
2. Wireless Sensor: Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the wireless sensor. Insert 2 x AA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Replace the battery compartment cover.

Note: For best performance in low-temperature conditions (below -4°F / -20°C), use lithium batteries in the outdoor sensor.

3.2 Sensor Placement

The wireless sensor is weather-resistant but not waterproof. For optimal performance and longevity, place the sensor in a location that is protected from direct sunlight and direct precipitation. An ideal location is under an eave or on a porch. The sensor features an integrated hanger for easy mounting.

3.3 Initial Synchronization

Once batteries are installed in both units, the main display unit will automatically search for the wireless sensor. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range (up to 100 feet / 30 meters, line of sight). If the connection is not established, try relocating the sensor or pressing the 'reset' button on both units.

3.4 Unit Selection (Fahrenheit/Celsius)

On the back of the main display unit, locate the °F/°C button. Press this button to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature display.

4.1 Reading the Display

• Outdoor Temperature (°F/°C): Displays the current temperature reported by the wireless sensor.
• Outdoor Humidity (%): Displays the current humidity reported by the wireless sensor.
• Indoor Temperature (°F/°C): Displays the current temperature at the main display unit's location.
• Indoor Humidity (%): Displays the current humidity at the main display unit's location.
• Temperature Trend Indicator: An arrow icon indicates if the temperature is rising, falling, or remaining steady.
• Wireless Signal Strength: Indicates the strength of the signal from the outdoor sensor.

4.2 Daily High/Low Records

The display automatically tracks and shows the daily high and low temperature and humidity readings. These records typically reset every 24 hours.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the display unit and wireless sensor, wipe them with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals that may damage the surfaces.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries in both the main display unit and the wireless sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the screen. Always replace all batteries at the same time to ensure proper synchronization and operation.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Outdoor Data: Ensure the wireless sensor is within range of the main unit and has fresh batteries. Check for sources of interference such as large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices.
• Inaccurate Readings: Verify that both the main unit and the sensor are not exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or extreme drafts, which can affect accuracy. Allow units to stabilize for 20 minutes after setup or battery replacement.
• Display Not Working: Check battery orientation and ensure batteries are fresh. If issues persist, perform a full reset by removing batteries from both units for a few minutes, then reinserting them, starting with the outdoor sensor.
