1.2 Filling the Gas Burner

The gas burner is supplied without gas. It requires standard butane gas (lighter gas) for operation. Always ensure the burner is switched off and cooled down before refilling.

  1. Turn the flame adjustment knob (if present) to the minimum setting and ensure the safety lock is engaged.
  2. Invert the gas burner.
  3. Press the nozzle of the butane gas canister firmly into the filling valve at the base of the burner.
  4. Hold for approximately 10-15 seconds until the gas begins to overflow, indicating it is full.
  5. Allow a few minutes for the gas to stabilize before use.

Warning: Do not overfill. Refill in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames or ignition sources. Keep out of reach of children.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Using the Gas Burner

  1. Ensure the burner is adequately filled with butane gas.
  2. Unlock the safety mechanism (usually a switch or button).
  3. Press the ignition button to ignite the flame. If it does not ignite immediately, release and try again.
  4. Adjust the flame intensity using the flame adjustment knob located on the side of the burner. Turn clockwise for a smaller flame, counter-clockwise for a larger flame.

Caution: The flame can reach temperatures up to 1300°C. Always use with extreme care and keep away from flammable materials, children, and pets. Do not point the flame at yourself or others.

2.2 Using the Porcelain Ramekins

  • The porcelain ramekins are suitable for baking in conventional ovens.
  • Distribute your crème brûlée mixture or other desserts evenly into the ramekins.
  • Follow your recipe's instructions for baking times and temperatures.
  • After baking and cooling, sprinkle sugar evenly over the dessert surface before caramelizing with the gas burner.
  • Serve the crème brûlée immediately after caramelization for optimal flavor and texture.

3. Maintenance and Care

3.1 Gas Burner Care

  • Ensure the burner is completely cooled before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the gas burner with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Store the burner in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and out of reach of children.

3.2 Porcelain Ramekin Care

  • The porcelain ramekins are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
  • Alternatively, wash by hand with warm soapy water and a soft sponge.
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes, which can cause porcelain to crack. Allow hot ramekins to cool before washing.
