1. Product Overview

2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions when operating the Mannesmann M12545 impact drill to prevent electric shock, fire, and serious injury.

3. Setup and Assembly

Attaching the Auxiliary Handle and Depth Stop:

1. Loosen the auxiliary handle by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. Slide the auxiliary handle onto the front of the drill body.
3. Insert the depth stop into the hole on the auxiliary handle. Adjust it to the desired drilling depth.
4. Tighten the auxiliary handle by turning it clockwise until it is securely fastened. Ensure the handle is positioned for comfortable and safe operation.

Inserting and Removing Drill Bits:

1. Ensure the drill is unplugged from the power source.
2. Open the chuck jaws by turning the chuck key counter-clockwise.
3. Insert the drill bit fully into the chuck.
4. Tighten the chuck jaws firmly using the chuck key by turning it clockwise. Ensure the bit is centered and secure.
5. To remove, turn the chuck key counter-clockwise to loosen the jaws and pull out the drill bit.

4. Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off and Speed Control:

• To start the drill, press the trigger switch. The speed is variable depending on how far the trigger is pressed.
• For continuous operation, press the lock-on button while the trigger is fully depressed. To release, press the trigger again.
• To turn off, release the trigger switch.

Selecting Drilling Mode:

The drill features a selector switch to choose between standard drilling and impact drilling modes.

• Drilling Mode (Drill icon): For drilling in wood, metal, plastics, and ceramics.
• Impact Drilling Mode (Hammer icon): For drilling in masonry, concrete, and stone.

Forward/Reverse Rotation:

Use the forward/reverse switch located near the trigger to change the direction of rotation. This is useful for driving screws or freeing a jammed drill bit.

• Push the switch to the left for forward rotation (clockwise).
• Push the switch to the right for reverse rotation (counter-clockwise).

Drilling in Different Materials:

• Wood: Use standard drilling mode. Maximum drilling diameter: 25mm.
• Metal: Use standard drilling mode. Maximum drilling diameter: 10mm.
• Concrete/Masonry: Use impact drilling mode. Maximum drilling diameter: 13mm.
