4. Adjustments

4.1 Handle Height Adjustment

Proper handle height is crucial for comfort and stability. The handles should be adjusted so that your arms are slightly bent at the elbow when standing upright with your hands on the grips.

  1. Locate the adjustment knob on each handle support.
  2. Unscrew and pull out the knob.
  3. Raise or lower the handle to the desired height.
  4. Align the holes and re-insert the knob, then tighten it securely.
  5. Repeat for the other handle, ensuring both are at the same height.

4.2 Brake Adjustment

The hand brakes are pre-adjusted, but may require fine-tuning over time.

  • If the brakes feel too loose or too tight, locate the brake cable adjuster near the handle.
  • Turn the barrel adjuster clockwise to tighten the brake cable (increase braking power) or counter-clockwise to loosen it (decrease braking power).
  • Test the brakes after adjustment to ensure they engage and release smoothly and effectively.

5. Operation

5.1 Using the Hand Brakes

  • To Slow Down or Stop: Squeeze the brake levers towards the handles. The harder you squeeze, the more braking force is applied.
  • To Engage Parking Brakes: Push the brake levers down until they lock into place. This will prevent the rollator from moving. Always engage parking brakes before sitting on the seat.
  • To Release Parking Brakes: Pull the brake levers up until they release from the locked position.

5.2 Using the Seat

The rollator features a comfortable seat with a built-in pad for resting.

  • Ensure the rollator is on a level surface.
  • Engage both parking brakes by pushing the levers down.
  • Turn around and slowly sit on the seat.
  • To stand up, lean forward, push off the handles, and slowly rise. Release the parking brakes only when you are ready to move.

5.3 Using the Front Wire Basket

The removable front wire basket provides convenient storage for personal items.

  • Place items securely in the basket.
  • Do not overload the basket, as this can affect the rollator's stability. Refer to the specifications for weight limits.

  3. Continue to pull the strap upwards, allowing the sides of the rollator to fold inward.
  4. Once folded, the rollator can be secured with the patented Lock N' Load mechanism for easy transit.

  • Storage: Store the rollator in a dry environment to prevent rust and damage.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Rollator does not roll smoothly: Check wheels for debris or damage. Ensure parking brakes are fully disengaged.
